Next year is 40 years since we went to Edale.
The other day I rode down Nidderdale past where we had a camping weekend in 1974/5.
It got me thinking.
Who would be up for a camping weekend this autumn or next spring.
Perhaps our soon to be retired member for Manchester could arrange an Edale reunion.
We could even get there by train.
The camping weekend down Nidderdale was in the holidays, and although I booked the camping I cannot remember much about it,
Ken was there and Pete turned up on his new Trident but due to too much beer in the Watermill PH that's where my recollection ends. I think Keith was there as well. Bob and Pat?
Who else remembers this?

I was also thinking of the Edale Camping trip today. I'm also retiring soon and so could be available for camping Autumn 2010.
Can't think of anything worse - nothing less than en-suite for me these days (it's the bladder you know). Congratulations on your forthcoming retirement Martin. Done your time or just got fed up with the job?
OK, how about a 5* weekend? I am sure we could get a deal.
BTW, were you (Keith) at Nidderdale?
No, I don't remember Nidderdale. The last rally I attended was Great Yarmouth where Peter, pre-Trident, arrived on his ex-Durham(?)police BSA (A65?). I know Phil Deacon was there as I followed his A7(?)on my 250 MZ. Dave Irving too.
I went to Yarmouth as Arthur Simon's pillion on his R69S.
I remember the cold and Art falling asleep whilst riding on the way home.
