Same place, same bike, same
characters – just 14 years between the two photos. This is definitely the best
bike I have ever owned (to quote Roger) and I’ve just bought it back from Dave
to whom I sold it in 2003. It’s not been used for several years so it’s a
non-runner, somewhat less shiny than it was, and in need of a makeover. It’ll be my project for the Spring and I
hope to get it back on the road over the Summer – when it'll be a proper test for my
rose-tinted spectacles.

The pannier shows a few more battle scars, but the rest looks very similar. Shows how good the BMW finish is.
Incidentally, my K75, from 30 years ago, really was one of the best bikes I ever owned.
