Another great weekend

The annual ‘fix’ of Motogp - this time Le Mans. We travelled by train, pretty much door to door from Chester. As with the TT these days, there is hardly any hotel accommodation in Le Mans and what there is gets booked up by Christmas. We paid about £160 per night for a 10m2 room (breakfast extra!) – smallest we’ve ever stayed in. Supply and demand – same is £40 now. Transport to the circuit cheap – and only 20 mins by tram. For those hardy souls who can tolerate it, there is free camping at the circuit if you’ve got a weekend ticket. Good atmosphere/vocal crowd/standing room only for the 100,000 spectators on race day. Too many high catch fences to take photos but otherwise highly recommended.

I'll have to give Moto GP a try.
The last GP I went to was Le Mans exactly 40 years ago!!!
I must admit though, that I love the informality of Irish Road Racing.
I need to get myself that touring bike first!!!!!!!!!!!!!
