To add to the flurry of posts and in view of the productive
EGM at Cosford last year, (and it being a long time until the Beezumph Rally in August), can I suggest a meet-up at the Hoghton Tower Sprint on May
10. For those who have not attended this event before, it is a 1/8 mile sprint
up the steep drive of a stately home. If you can be bothered to watch it, the
utube link below will take you to a video I did some 20 years ago. When I went last,
about 5 years ago, little had changed. A wide variety of machines from Raleigh
Wisp to Hyabusa. All very relaxed and amateurish. A 70+ year old acquaintance of
mine did it last year and got up the hill in about 15 secs on his DMW Hornet.
Not as easy as it sounds.
Organised by Marshals Northwest, entry and a competition
licence can be arranged through the club for the day should anyone wish to try
their hand. I’ve not got the bottle but a taster for Ken and his Velo?

I went off at half cock.
I thought it was a hill climb like Baitings was.
It's a straight line!!
I'll certainly attend, but not as a competitor.
