Hi all,
Yesterday I got the bike back home. Overnight it was stored at the neighbours until I could get the shed cloggie tight.
However, if you look at the picture below you can see that the b******* have ruined the paint on tank and side covers by spraying them black, and badly too. The tank was almost empty, shewing the dolts did not suss that the ignition key will open the filler cap! Then I suppose they dumped the bike.
Replacement colours spring to mind. The original scheme with its golden yellow lines round the tank and side panels is almost certainly impossible to replicate.
I'm toying with either Ferrari Red (even with the connotations) or even BSA/Triumph hi-purple. Any other serious suggestions please?
Meanwhile, here are 2 photos of something completely different:-
Hannah brought Wombat back with her from Australia since that's my moniker on some news-groups.
The combo is the ESCI 1:9th scale Zundapp KS750. Not a bad model but shame about the handlebars.

I think it looks good in black.
I checked with a Guzzi dealer yesterday and he did confirm cream white and black were two common Florida finishes sold here.
The only trouble with black is it would always remind me about the theft.
How's about Midnight Blue, as used by the Fleet Air Arm in the later Pacific campaigns in WW2.
