Two blasts from the past - and one present. The Venom Clubman (104 TAL) and Fulmar (866 HLH) compared with Hannah's Sphinx cat, red eyes and all. It's OK, only the flash. The other cat in the background is Seth.
The last I saw of the Fulmar was in 1974 when it was being hauled off to Brighton. Since the 2nd flywheel was about to disassociate into its separate parts just like the 1st one I can't say I'm unsurprised that it went to that great AMC graveyard in the sky. I later saw another one in a breaker's yard in Plumstead and was tempted until I remembered the flywheel. However, I wonder where and in what condition 104 TAL is? When I got it the 4.25 gallon petrol tank was covered in an imitation leather cover to hide the lack of paint. A friend of mine said he would repaint it but never got round to it! He did, however, eventually take it to a workshop where they discovered it was in a poor way from corrosion. It was repaired and repainted at no cost to me. I still remember taking it down to Seymour's in Thame where they still had an old guy who painted the gold lines on the tanks! I also wonder if the new owner ever worked out why the clutch had a tendency to drag? The greatest minds in the VOC were foxed!

The Velo still exists, but not been used for 21 years. The Fulmar doesn't seem to exist any more. As for the cat--------
