intended by any of the above. And who said bikers were a load of no-hopers?
Ownership statistics (now this is
getting really boring). Based on what is known or has been volunteered as part
of this exercise:
Most
Members are hoarders and have at least two machines in their ownership.
The numbers
of European bikes owned significantly exceeds those from other parts of the
world.
BMW is
single largest maker - represented by some 9 machines. (above table reflects only
bikes in use, shed-bound machines have been added).
Second only
to BMW, Velocette ownership is at least 6 bikes. Most are shed-bound and all must be about 50 years old - and probably not used for at least 30. Only two are
thought to be road-worthy.
Velo
ownership is also higher than the total number of Japanese machines which,
depending on what Martin has in his shed, may number as high as 5.
