Hi all,

Having fixed the various problems that beset the MZ after its mishap in November I thought it was time to carry out my long delayed plan for tarting it up. I found a place up the road in Hoogwoud who removed the dents from the petrol tank, cleared the rust and sprayed it with primer. Since I couldn't easily remove the air filter side panel I painted that in situ. From England I sourced a 2nd hand front mudguard and a 2nd hand battery cover. I had repainted my 1st ETZ back in England in black and was somewhat annoyed when it was stolen.
The replacement battery cover was already black and had the sticker on it. I wondered if it came from that MZ, but I can't see how.
Any way, here are the results:-
After checking with the RDW (Dutch custodians of construction and use regs) I removed the indicators. I rarely use them and always forget to cancel them when I do so they are gone.

It doesn't look bad!!!
A friend of mine says you can't polish a turd, but I reckon you've achieved it.
Where's the Guzzi?
Thank you, I think? I never saw another black MZ except my first ETZ but the colour does suit it.
The Guzzi has been used recently on various trips including taking the MZ parts to be seen to plus a troll to Luchtvaart to pick up some models (aircraft) as Hannah's Xmas present to me this year was a voucher from them.
The year before last I got a fossil ammonite about 4 inches across. The biggest were several feet across but they wouldn't easily fit on a book shelf.
