Hello, guys,
I am planning to go to Anglesey on 29 July for the rally on Saturday 30th. Anybody else maybe thinking of going??
I fly into Manchester on Thursday and then back to Oman with youngest daughter Hannah on the Monday out of Aberdeen.
I am thinking now about putting the bikes away for summer. Roll on winter.

Peter,
I very much enjoyed the meeting at Cadwell - how many years ago? Unfortunately, I doubt I could make it to Anglesey under my own steam so will probably have to give it a miss again. I have read somewhere that this is likely to be the last. Any truth in that?

Sorry, but which rally?

Ok, I checked. Google is your friend.
When was a track built on Anglesey?
Hello, all,
I went.
It was very good and the weather stayed dry but cool on FRiday and on Saturday afternoon.
Highlights - other than the noise - was Johns Youngs account (for 2 hours!) about his success, sorry heroic success, in the American Iron Butt Rally. For those that don't know this rally is run every 2 years and the rallyists have to do about 11,000 (11 thousand) miles in 11 days. Usual tools for the job is big BMW or GSA or gold wings. John did it on a 1969 Triumph Trident. He acheived the target of visiting every American state in the 11 days. He did just under 10,000 miles. The full story is on teh club website www.tr3oc.co.uk. Its a good read. Only failure was the new rear chain and that was Japanese!. It wrecked the chain guard the rear light and destroyed the number plate.
There may be Beezumph next year - the accounts look OK.
Lets plan to meet up?
Peter
