Autumn

Stuart (BMW 650) and I were the only ones to brave the wind and rain today.
We decided to go greenlaning.
It was more like White Water Rafting!!
Going up one climb, the water was coming down my rut like a raging torrent. I was flat out in second and when bike and water met, it just shot all around and over the bike.
I was absolutly soaked, but it must have looked spectacular.
Once we reached the top the puddles were long and deep.
All through that the old BMW didn't miss a beat and is now cleaner than it has been all year - what a bike.
In 2 weeks time I'm off to Milan for the Motorbike show.
As we (some neighbours and I) didn't get to any Irish races this year, we thought that Milan was a good excuse for a wekend away.

Was also thinking of going to Milan but already been 'abroad' twice since I retired in June. Train holiday to Switzerland - Glacier Express etc, and Estoril again. Latter was boring this year (or am I just losing interest?) - and my photography crap. Bit disappointing. Pleased that Rossi won the championship though think it would be better, contract permitting, if he quit on a 'high' at the end of the season rather than having another go next year........
