Congestion

Whilst looking at the BBC traffic news and recent programmes on the effects of the Beeching Axe of the 1960s on the roads in the UK I remembered in 1972 during the Bogle Stroll night going along the M6 with Mike Maughan.  I was on the Fulmar and he was on his small Honda and the M6 was empty! At one stage we even turned our lights off and followed the road using the ambient light only.
My question to anyone on the other side of the North Sea is:-
Do you know if there is still a motorway in the UK that empty at any time during the day or night?
The A7 motorway running north from Amsterdam still is in the early hours.

BTW,  Happy Christmas to one and all.

BTW, Terry, I was down your neck of the woods last weekend. I went to the football match between Tilburg Willem II v NEC. (A business trip)

It's about 160km from there to here, at least 2/3rds of the length of Holland. Oh well.
