I did it!!! I bought a BMW R1200S. It had 5800 miles on it and was 8 months old. I bought it from a chap in New orleans; went down and rode it home 3 weeks ago. The chap sold it for $10K less than he had in it!

It has all the options I wanted (wide rear wheel, Ohlin shocks, ABS which can be turned off at will and even heated grips (!))) plus a bunch of carbon fiber parts as you see in the photo. It also is equipped with a Rapid Bike 3 add on computer allowing other 3D ignition-timing maps plus the ability to roll your own if you have a rolling road dyno and the desire.

I am slowly getting faster in bends on it............need thecobwebs blown out.
